On Saturday, January 25, 2025, Kim Eung Hwa & Korean Dance Academy performed at the third annual Lankershim Lunar Block Party in North Hollywood.

The free community street festival was presented by the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs and MAUM Market. From noon to 4:00 PM, Lankershim Boulevard became a gathering place for Korean, Vietnamese, and Chinese New Year traditions through live performances, family art activities, Asian-owned small businesses, and food vendors.

Kim Eung Hwa & Korean Dance Academy shared the color and movement of Korean dance with a large neighborhood audience. Young dancers presented flower-fan and small-hand-drum choreography, while another ensemble filled the outdoor stage with long, flowing white sleeves. The performance connected traditional movement and brilliant hanbok with the festival’s spirit of welcoming the new and good.

The Korean Cultural Center Los Angeles also took part in the event. Its official report noted traditional tea and dasik tastings as well as a hanbok experience, activities that complemented the day’s performances and helped visitors experience Korean heritage directly.
