66th Annual L.A. County Holiday Celebration
On December 24, 2025, Kim Eung Hwa & Korean Dance Company returned to the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion for the 66th Annual L.A. County Holiday Celebration.
The company presented Hwa-gwan-mu, or the Flower Crown Dance, a Korean royal court dance rooted in the Joseon period. Wearing flower-decorated crowns and richly colored costumes, the dancers evoked nature’s beauty, regeneration, and life through synchronized movement and sweeping fan formations.
Sponsored by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors and presented by The Music Center, the free three-hour Christmas Eve tradition featured more than 20 music ensembles, choirs, and dance companies representing the diverse cultures and communities of Los Angeles County. The event was also broadcast and streamed by PBS SoCal.
These photographs document the company backstage and onstage as Korean traditional dance became part of one of Southern California’s largest annual multicultural holiday programs.
